Duck Tape

There is controversy on the proper spelling of this tape, but for today’s purpose, I shall use the version chosen, to describe the brand, rather than the original use/purpose :)

One of my students one day, gave me a gift – a wallet made out of duck tape.  I’m always delighted with the surprise pictures, cards, bracelets, pencils.

I have a roll of fun owl (keeping with the studio decor theme) duck tape in the studio that I use occasionally to teach students a fun improv exercise when learning to understand & easily play glissandos on the piano = an idea I adapted from the original thinker behind the idea, Diane Hidy… http://dianehidy.com/teaching-tips/2013/8/9/duct-tape-and-the-creative-process1 = more on that another time.  And, when she handed me this very creative wallet, I started to wonder what sort of duck tape designs are available.  Apparently, quite a few are available in music note/piano styles.  Here are some links to the duck tape ones I found – as well as links to tape (NOT duck) with beautiful music designs – for those creative sorts in the studio who might want something “musical” to use.  Please, if you find others, or the links stop working at anytime, please let me know.  :)

Thanks!

Have fun!

    • It is very fun! :) Thanks :) But, I didn’t come up with this idea – definitely a great idea from another teacher. :)
