My name is Kristin. For my 7th birthday, my parents signed me up for piano lessons – and I regularly & eagerly showed my friends what I had learned. I have been enjoying officially teaching lessons since I was 15 years old. It is my career – and something I dream of doing the rest of my life. It is necessary to know that I do not teach simply for extra cash or an easy job until I find a “real” one. Teaching is my passion, music is the expression of my heart. I teach because I love it, and practice to perform because I have the desire. I find joy in the piano because it is absolutely a breathtakingly beautiful instrument.
When I am not teaching, I am planning lessons. When I am not planning lessons, I am creating fun worksheets and activities. When I am not creating fun worksheets and activities, I am practicing. I practice because I believe it is a calling on my life to continue to learn, to continue to improve, and to be better prepared for the challenges and joys of each teaching day. Teaching music is not just my livelihood – it is a calling. I am blessed by my students, am excited to meet you, and will always count it an honor to be a part of yours and your child’s life.
Interests/Hobbies = piano, singing, swimming, computers, horseback riding, traditional archery, rollerskating, listening to music, playing games with family, babysitting my nephew & niece, hanging out with friends, making lists & checking them twice, traveling, organizing, reading books, hot chocolate almond milk with caramel sauce & soft peppermint sticks, yummy oranges, grapefruit juice, peanut butter & apple slices, and attending church. Now you have a small glimpse into my life. ;)
